Web Quest Research Project

for Warriors Don’t Cry

 

MONDAY, 11/25/02

 

  1. Go back to the same computer you were at on Friday.
  2. After instructions, continue research.  FINISH ALL OF YOUR PART ONE RESEARCH TODAY!  Work with your group to get all of Part One done.
  3. If you finish PART ONE, begin work on PART TWO.  (Go back to the “Process” page for directions on Part Two.)  Work on the four required time capsule items first.
  4. DO NOT PRINT ANYTHING.  If you absolutely need something printed, fill out a “print request form” (see Ms. Spachman) and give it back to Ms. Spachman today.  She will try to print those items for you herself.

 

Project Time Frame:

 

MONDAY, 11/25:

FINISH PART ONE RESEARCH.

TUESDAY, 11/26:

WORK ON PART TWO RESEARCH; DECIDE WHAT YOUR GROUP WILL INCLUDE IN THE TIME CAPSULE.

WEDNESDAY, 11/27:

WORK ON PART TWO—LAST DAY FOR RESEARCH IN CLASS; MEET WITH GROUP TO PLAN OUT WHO IS GOING TO DO WHAT FOR THE TIME CAPSULE.

WEDNESDAY, 12/4: 

MEET WITH GROUP IN-CLASS TO FINALIZE PROJECT AND THE PRESENTATION OF YOUR RESEARCH AND TIME CAPSULE.

THURSDAY, 12/5:

PRESENTATIONS BEGIN.

FRIDAY, 12/6:

PRESENTATIONS CONCLUDE.

 

 

This research project is worth 200 points.  Your overall score depends on the number of points your group earns and the points you earn for your individual participation in this project.

                    PART ONE = 75 points

    Breakdown of Part One points:

30 points for quality of research (group score)

30 points for clear and informative presentation (group score)

15 points for participation (individual score)

 

                   PART TWO = 125 points

                                        Breakdown of Part Two points:

20 points for quality of research (group score)

30 points for creative time capsule items (group score)

30 points for written explanations of 4 time capsule items (group score)

25 points for clear and informative presentation (group score)

15 points for participation (individual score)
