Class:  Continued discussion of Ophelia's death, the gravedigger's discussion of it, and Hamlet's discussion with the gravedigger.

Homework:  Read/re-read the information given to you about the traditional tragic hero for the debate tomorrow.  Finish work on Handmaid's/ Plath/ Brand paper draft 1 which is due no later than 4 pm tomorrow.

Homework:  Finish reading Death of a Salesman for Tuesday and complete Journals 1, 2, & 3.  Complete the AP Practice Essay on Hamlet; write your thesis in response to the question and outline the remainder of your response in 20 minutes total.  This is due IN CLASS.

Students should have read Death of a Salesman and completed Journals 1-3 for class today.

Class:  Opening discussion of Death of a Salesman.  Class will begin outlining the characteristics of Willy and Biff.

Homework:  Complete Salesman Journal 4.  Outline the characterizations of Happy and Linda.

Students should have  completed Journal 4 and outlined the characterizations of Happy and Linda for class today.

Class:  Characterization discussion continues.  Then students will form small groups to begin work on the "Re-Visioning the Moment" assignment.

Homework:  Complete Salesman Journal 5.  Do some brainstorming for the "Re-Visioning the Moment" assignment.

Students should have  completed Journal 5 for class today.

Class:  Oral commentary business  Then class time for working on the "Re-Visioning the Moment" assignment.
