| When I see you on the street | ||
| My hands begin to shiver | ||
| Then you smile at me | ||
| And my body begins to quiver | ||
| "Hey, Katy," | ||
| You say, as you're walking by | ||
| Thank God, I think, for this boy | ||
| While looking towards the sky | ||
| You reach out for a hug | ||
| And I hug you with a laugh | ||
| In the back of my head I'm thinking | ||
| "Man, I 'll never take another bath". | ||
| I wish I could tell you how I feel | ||
| How much I yearn for you inside | ||
| But when you come too close | ||
| My words just run and hide | ||
| Buy one day I hope | ||
| That I will get the chance | ||
| And then we'll be together | ||
| Sharing true romance | ||
