Complete the following assignments for Monday, April 5

#4 The Name Game

Consider the names of all the main characters in the play as well as some of the minor characters.  Offer your ideas as to what the names mean (or do some research) and then explain why you think those names (or lack of names… *hint*) is significant given that character in the play.

#5 Linda's "We're free" Speech

Take some time to reread and study Linda's speech (and the accompanying stage directions) at the end of the play.  Discuss the significance of what Linda says, especially the last repeated lines... "We're free and clear.  We're free..."  Also discuss the significance of Miller's stage directions, particularly the flute music and the "rising" apartment buildings.
