Class:  SQUIRT.  Revisiting/ re-explaining the different parts of plot.  Discussion of the plot in "Perseus," particularly the conflict (Who is the antagonist?).

Homework:  Re-read "Perseus."  Re-mark plot elements as needed..

Re-reading "Perseus" and re-marking plot due.

Class:  Finish full-class discussion of "Perseus."  Then students will form small groups to discuss and find similarities between the plots and protagonists of the R. Wright story, the Princess Sherifa story, and "Perseus."

Homework:  Finish main event timelines for Sherifa and R. Wright stories.

Class:  Meet in the computer lab.  Students will access (and if need be, activate) their Edline accounts.  Then students will receive their Greek Gods research back and the Greek God Character Sketch Brainstorming sheet.  Students should use the remainder of the period to fill in holes in their research and work on brainstorming.

Homework:   Fill out brainstorming sheet and begin writing your Greek God character sketch.  Brainstorming sheet = extra credit tomorrow!  Have your parent/guardian activate their Edline account and attach an email address to it by Friday, 7 pm to earn extra credit for your grade.

Bring your brainstorming sheet to class.  The more it's filled out, the more extra credit you'll get.

Class:  Meet in the computer lab.  Students will be introduced to using the e-portfolio of the Collaboratory.  Then students should use the remainder of the period to work on their character sketch, which is due Monday, 12/6.

Homework:   Write  your Greek God character sketch and post it to the Collaboratory by Monday, 12/6.  Have your parent/guardian activate their Edline account and attach an email address to it by Friday, 7 pm to earn extra credit for your grade.
