Review/Study—DAY TWO/THREE
- Read "The Flowers" by
Alice Walker. To start, determine what you think are the exposition,
rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution of the story. Then
determine the central conflict (this one's tricky!) of the story.
- Then look at the literary devices/techniques that Walker is using to
develop this story. Identify them and discuss their effects/significance
within the story.
- Consider theme and mood. Discuss each.
